Lorenzo Gabanizza is an Italian singer, songwriter and guitarist who has spent the better part of the past thirty years creating a deep and diverse catalog of music. From his days in the early 90’s playing in a series of Rock bands to his later work fronting Queen and Christie tribute projects, he has entertained fans across Europe.
In recent years Lorenzo Gabanizza has produced a series of Country and Folk leaning Pop/Rock solo singles, EPs and albums. His new music has found a whole new international audience in the streaming age. His songs have charted around the world. Now his latest single/video is winning awards from the UK to India.
“You’re Not There” is the brand new single from Lorenzo Gabanizza, released worldwide on October 22, 2021. The song is a heartfelt farewell to the singer’s mother who recently passed away from complications due to Alzheimer’s Disease. On the track he is joined by an international cast of musicians including legendary UK singer Jeff Christie.
An ensemble of players from the US and Europe lays down a soulful Country/Blues waltz. From Bruce Hoffman’s steel guitar swells to Rusty Wright and Snake Davis’ masterful Blues licks, the band delivers an excellent performance. Meanwhile, Lorenzo Gabanizza and Jeff Christie trade verses on this emotionally powerful song of heartbreak and healing.
