TUNNL19 (Túnel 19) is the brand new project from veteran musical duo of Eguie Fernández and Ángel Yoel Soto. After spending 13 years leading various cover bands, the Puerto Rican musicians formed the new group to introduce their original compositions to the world. With two singles under their belt so far they have already connected with fans around the globe.
The group debuted in July with the single “Voces.” That track’s mix of grungy Alternative Rock guitars and a clean, modern Pop production introduced a talented and versatile genre-bending band. The song is currently picking up airplay at Rock stations throughout Spain and Latin America.
“Encerrado (Contigo)” is the latest single from TUNNL19, released worldwide to all major streaming services on September 3, 2021. On the new track, Fernández and Soto take us on a groovy, 70’s inspired ride. A smooth electric piano sets a cool mood as the bass and drums lay down a mellow Funk groove.
The band tops off the sound with a bit of Nile Rodgers-style guitar and radio-ready vocals. With a smooth and laid-back style the lead singer delivers the sexy tale of forbidden tryst as pitch-perfect multipart harmonies back him up. It’s a great vibe and a timeless sound.
