“Field of Grass” is the new solo EP from Jeff Lake, released worldwide to all major streaming services on August 20, 2021. The record is a 5 song collection of acoustic covers and originals exploring a broad spectrum of theme and emotion. The record opens on its current single the “Better Times Will Come,” a song of hope in the era of COVID by legendary songwriter Janis Ian. After a beautiful acapella Gospel intro, Lake take the song into an upbeat Bluegrass groove.

The mood shifts to an introspective melancholy on the Classic Rock-tinged Jeff Lake original title track. From there the singer mixes genres with his interpretations of songs by artists like The Beatles and Paul McCartney. It’s a great listen, with stellar performances throughout.
