Clayton Sturgeon – Bad Bad Blood

  • by
clayton sturgeon

Clayton Sturgeon is a singer, songwriter and guitarist from St. Augustine, Florida. He first appeared on the scene in 2012 when his band W.E.R.M signed a deal with Universal Records. The band split up in 2015 and Clayton redirected his creative energies to a solo career. When he is not making records he fronts the world-touring tribute band, NIRVANNA – a tribute to Nirvana.

After making his solo recording debut in 2020 with the single “Stuck in Quarantine,” the prolific songwriter quickly made up for lost time. In less than two years he has produced an impressive catalog of work including 4 singles, a 5-song EP, his debut album “Confessions” and now his sophomore effort, the 7-song “A Curse In Disguise.”

“Bad Blood” is the first single from “A Curse in Disguise,” released worldwide to all major streaming services on November 2, 2021. The track is a deep, dark mix of Alternative Rock and Outlaw Country. A traditional Country ensemble of banjo, mandolin and guitar rides a heavy marching beat. With a twang that is equal parts Kurt Cobain and Steve Earle, Clayton Sturgeon delivers the tale of a woman who is bad to the bone. It’s a great grungy and swampy vibe.
