“Love Me Tonight” is the brand new single from Steffan Rundquist, released worldwide to all major streaming services on November 5, 2021. The track opens on a guitar and vocal intro as Steffan sings to the object of affection. Soon the beat drops and we hit the club for an uptempo, four on the floor classic House jam. Steffan sings, “Now I need you more than ever” as an infectious synth melody rides a great dance beat.

8 Questions with Steffan Rundquist

Where are you from?
I’m from Rydebäck, a small village in southern Sweden. I grew up there until I was 16 then moved to the nearest big city called Helsingborg. I later started to travel and I lived outside of Sweden for 25 years.
Who are the musicians involved in your project?
Sometimes my younger Brother TOMAS TIRTHA RUNDQUIST plays guitar on my tracks but most of the time I write and record everything myself. I have been writing, recording and producing music most of 2021 and now I am booking a solo promotion tour for 2022.
Who are your biggest musical influences?
HANOI ROCKS from Finland, INDOCHINE from France, BOB MARLEY from Jamaica among many and now I am listening to ZAZ from France. As a music producer I am very inspired by MAX MARTIN from Sweden. I actually stopped touring for a couple of years just to write songs and produce for other artists in my studio in Stockholm.
What is your greatest non-musical influence?
I have been meditating, deep diving into spirituality on and off for many decades now, mostly Bhakti yoga. I am also very inspired by RUSSELL BRAND, RALPH SMART and WIM HOF.
What inspired you to create this project?
I never wait for inspiration to come, I always create my own inspiration. I have learned the hard way through trial and error. I am in charge of my life and I learn from my mistakes and other people’s mistakes.
What are your plans for the future (musically)?
2022 promotion tour. It’s going to be a magic tour. Acoustic singer songwriter, pop, dancebeats with a meditative feeling. I use electric and acoustic guitars, dacebeats and alternative instruments like 432 hertz frequency Handpan.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
Come and see my show when I am in your town. Thank you!
