BLU2TH Drops Some New Holiday Soul

BLU2TH is the professional name of hit-making songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist producer Erik Griggs. In 2005 he moved from his hometown of St. Louis to Los Angeles, California with just a guitar and a suitcase in hand. Since then the multi-talented artist has produced and composed hit records for the likes of Jordin Sparks, Chris Brown, Boyz II Men, Tyrese and many more.

This year the superstar producer has teamed up with some of his famous friends for a collection of Christmas singles just in time for the Holidays. BLU2TH is known for his award-winning work in multiple genres. He pulls out all the stops on a new original Christmas song along with his interpretation of three holiday classics.

Boyz II Men vocalist Shawn Stockman joins BLU2TH on “Christmas Wish.” The song combines the singer’s impeccable multi-part harmonies with the pristine electric keys and slick production of a classic 90’s downtempo R&B groove. On “Merry Little Christmas’ ‘ Erik teams up with Grammy nominated Floetry singer Marsha Ambrosius for a fun mix of Lo-fi Hip-hop, Soul and piano Jazz.

“Joy to the World ” is a funky Fusion take on the traditional piece featuring Prince acolyte, R&B/Gospel singer Ashley Jayy. The Jazz vibes continue on the classic “The Christmas Song.” Jazz great Eric Darius takes the lead on this smooth reading of the piece, peppering tradition with a healthy dose of improv.
