O$o From The 3rd is an emerging Alternative Hip-hop artist who made his professional solo recording debut in early 2021. Although he is new on the scene, the 24 year-old first started rapping almost 10 years ago at 15. Growing up in Minnesota he was introduced to Rock and Rap music by his older brother and cousins. He invested in recording equipment at 18 and spent the next few years defining and refining his sound.
“I’m Not Feeling Ok” was the debut single from O$o From The 3rd, released worldwide to all major streaming services on May 28, 2021. The track introduced an artist with a taste for laid-back, Lo-fi beats and dark, emotional lyrics.
Psychedelic synths and vocal effects introduce the song. That trippy vibe remains at the heart of the mix throughout. Subterraneous bass notes rumble beneath a slow groove that combines an old-school boombap with Trap hi-hats. Meanwhile, the rapper delivers a dark monologue about mental health and substance abuse issues.
On November 24, 2021 O$o From The 3rd released his sophomore single, the downbeat Emo rap track pairs an old-school beat with a haunting guitar riff. The song has a cinematic feel, almost like a classic Spaghetti Western. Lyrically the track is a dark examination of depression and ant-social feelings, leading to violent and suicidal thoughts.
