Tinfoil’s New Single – Way Too Crowded

tinfoil

We first heard from Tinfoil in September upon the release of the title track from their new album “New Orleans.” The four-piece Alternative Rock band has been a staple of the Northwest Ohio music scene since the early 90’s. In that time they have released more than a dozen albums and have played thousands of gigs. Never content, the group is constantly working on new material.

“Way Too Crowded” is the latest single from Tinfoil’s “New Orleans,” released worldwide on August 23, 2021. The track opens on an upbeat, jangly guitar 90’s Alt-Pop groove. Lead vocalist Cher Bibler enters the mix singing what first sounds like a sweet love song. However, the narrative soon takes a turn and we realize that this is no romantic ode. She sings of an ex-lover who refuses to leave, interfering with her life as she attempts to move on. He shows up when he is not wanted and sabotages potential relationships.

Musically the track shifts from a catchy Pop vibe in the verse to a rocking power chord crunch in the chorus. Drummer Bill Nichols and bassist Krystal Harms hold it down as Lead guitarist Dave Harms fills the space between verses with some tasty leads. In the bridge the ax-man takes an extended solo featuring some impressive shredding.
