Escape Ring is the new musical persona of Australian singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Darren Moss. The Melbourne musician launched the band in 2021 with a pair of singles “All the Way” and “Winning the War.” He created the project in hopes of making music with the soul of the best Classic Rock but presented with a modern sound, using modern production techniques.
It is all about the sound of a Rock band with lush harmonies and big melodies on top. It’s like Fleetwood Mac songs put through a 2021 sonic template.

“All the Way” is the debut single from Escape Ring, released worldwide to all major streaming services on October 24, 2021. A wistful torch song, it pairs a classic singer/songwriter style with a modern Indie aesthetic. The result is a heartbreaker of a song with a timeless Pop sound.
The track opens with the Americana jangle of acoustic and tremolo guitars. However, as Moss enters the mix with his lead vocal, the tune takes a turn into a smooth 70’s Pop/Jazz vibe. He delivers his sorrowful ballad with clever wordplay and a melodic style that hints at some of Paul McCartney’s solo work.
