Vconscious is a multi-talented rapper and songwriter based in Long Beach, California. Originally from Boston, the firebrand artist has been taking the Los Angeles Hip-hop scene by storm since her 2018 debut single “Blunts N Brews.” A thoughtful writer and skilled emcee, she delivers cerebral rhymes, positive vibes and smart, authentic Hip-hop.
In 2019 Vconscious delivered her debut album “Shop Talk.” Since then she has dropped a string of singles. The rapper accurately describes her sound as , “unapologetic bars and raw emotion accompanied by soul snatching beats.” Her music embraces the traditions of Hip-hop while bringing a whole new perspective to the genre.
“Save Me (Astral22 Remix)” is the latest single from Vconscious, released worldwide to all major streaming services on December 19, 2021. The track opens on a Lo-fi Hip-hop beat. Soon a smooth 70’s bass and electric piano Funk enter the mix to set a cool Disco-fueled mood. P-Funk style analog synths float on the periphery of the syncopated rhythm. The rapper rides Astral22’s groove with a cool old-school freestyle flow and an unrelenting rapid-fire delivery. In the song’s infectious chorus, she defiantly declares, “I don’t need nobody to save me.”
