Simon Val is a 15 year-old singer, songwriter and actor. From his extensive experience in musical theatre to his status as a nationally-ranked fencer, the multi-talented Texas native has already amassed an impressive résumé at a young age. In 2021 he added ‘professional solo recording artist’ to his list of accomplishments.
The young musician made his debut in September of last year with the single “Just Smile.” That Country-tinged acoustic Indie-Pop track introduced a lyricist and singer with a romantic streak and plenty of positive vibes. The song connected with tens of thousands of fans across multiple platforms. Simon Val followed that success with two more singles, the first was a melancholy piano ballad cover of Brandi Carlile song “The Joke.”
“My Heart Texts You” is the latest single from Simon Val, released worldwide to all major streaming services on September 8, 2021. The track opens on a nice acoustic guitar and violin intro. In the verse the song takes on an Americana vibe as an ensemble of electric guitar, piano, violin and bass accompany Simon as he sings of the communication hurdles inherent to young love. The song is a heartfelt Indie-Pop torch song with a bit of theater and just a hint of Texas.
