K Town Kid is the professional name of independent songwriter, dancer, DJ and producer Shahbaz Hussain. The multi-talented artist from Kolkata, India got his start in showbiz ten years ago as a member of the city’s first dance troupe, Toysoldierz.
By 2014 he was working as an assistant DJ, touring Indie and learning the ropes. He took an audio production class in Bangalore and by 2019 the K Town Kid was making his own beats and singing his own songs. Since his debut, the prolific artist has dropped seven singles of his own as well as collaborations with other artists.
“Kuchi Kuchi: is the latest single and video from K Town Kid, released worldwide to all major streaming services on January 7, 2022. Combing elements of traditional Indian music, Afrobeat and a modern Dance, the song is a smooth multi-genre Pop mix. As that upbeat groove progresses, the singer delivers a sweet love song to his “gypsy queen.”
I was inspired to write this song while I was watching an evergreen Bollywood movie called ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.’
