donnie*! is an emerging singer, songwriter and rapper from the American Northwest. Born in Seattle, raised in Edmonds and now living in Everett, Washington, the young singer made his debut in 2018 with the single “Ferragamo Crazy.” A collaboration with rapper Kidd206, the track introduced a talented artist with a taste for catchy Pop/Trap beats and a confessional, emotional lyrical style.
Since then, the prolific artist has amassed an impressive catalog of original music. Working with a series of producers around the world, he has dropped over two dozen singles to SoundCloud. He cites artists like Juice WRLD, XXX and Peep as inspiration. We can hear their influence in his R&B infused Emo Trap sound.
“Touch/Reminiscence” is a recent single from donnie*! Originally released last year, the track has recently found a renewed interest from fans. The song opens on ambient synths before the beat drops on a downtempo Trap groove. Deep bass hits ride an 808 beat as the singer enters the mix with a rhythmic, melodic rap about the confusion and insecurity of young love.
