Cam Cokas is an emerging singer, songwriter and producer with a classic and soulful sound. The talented young artist from Raleigh, North Carolina began making music when he was just 10 years old. Starting first on piano and saxophone, Cam would eventually teach himself to play a number of other instruments including guitar, bass and drums.
In 2016 Cam Cokas made his his professional solo recording debut with the song “I Miss You.” That track introduced a skilled singer and songwriter with a melancholy and sophisticated Alt-Pop sound. A dozen more tracks followed, eventually culminating with the release of his debut album “Sketches” in 2021.
“Feel That Way” is the latest single from Cam Cokas, released worldwide to all major streaming services on January 7, 2022. The song opens on the singer alone with his guitar. As he introduces his story, the ensemble grows to include an ethereal mix of keys, layered guitars and subterranean bass tones. As that lush arrangement takes shape, the singer delivers a soulful soliloquy. He questions both his own mental health and that of his ex when they were together. In the end it is a touching song about heartache, anxiety and healing.
