Omar Jano is an Atlanta-based singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer making his solo recording debut in 2022. A lifelong musician, about two years ago the Chicago native began to take a more serious interest in pursuing music professionally. He recently dropped his inaugural double single.
“My Darling Angel” is the debut single from Omar Jano, released worldwide to all major streaming services on January 30, 2022. The track is a heartfelt love song set to a fabulous retro 80’s vibe. Minor key analog synths ride a bouncy drum machine groove to create an upbeat but dramatic feel. A deep, rumbling bass and some well placed guitar power chords give the otherwise Synth-Pop tune a nice Rock & Roll edge.
After a cinematic instrumental introduction, Omar Jano enters the mix, singing the praises of the title character in a smooth Pop tenor. It is a simple, touching and universally relatable sentiment set to an immediately memorable Electro-Pop groove with a catchy hook.
Just like all the great 45 RPM singles of old, “My Darling Angel” comes complete with a B-side. “Autumn Beat” is a funky, percussive Synthwave instrumental that sounds as though it was lifted directly from the soundtrack of your favorite long-lost 80’s teen drama.
