Moswanted Blaze is a fast emerging Hip-hop artist from Stamford, Connecticut. Although he has been making music for over a decade with various projects, he made his solo professional recording debut under his current moniker in April of 2021. His inaugural hit, “Big Drip” introduced a skilled emcee with a taste for genre-bending beats.
“Lane Switchin ” is the brand new single from Moswanted Blaze, released worldwide to all major streaming services on January 7, 2022. The track opens on a pan-flute synth playing the song’s catchy melodic hook over an ambient backdrop. That ethereal calm is soon broken when the beat drops. Deep bass tones hold down the floor as a laid-back 808 Trap groove with a hard bounce drops some Dirty South vibes.
Latin subrythms and a bit of old-school cool give the beat a chilled but funky vibe. As that infectious groove rolls on, Moswanted Blaze and his record labelmate Moswanted Kob deliver an excellent tag-team freestyle rap. They tell a tale loaded with driving metaphors, pop culture references and plenty of Hip-hop posturing. It’s a lot of fun.
