Thank God It’s Friyay – Sync Tone’s Historic New NFT Weekend Disco Funk Jam

thank god it's friyay

Sync Tone is a songwriter and record producer with a history-making hit record on his hands. The Columbus, Ohio musician’s funked-up weekend party jam “Thank God It’s Friyay” is making waves in both the terrestrial and crypto worlds. The track has been steadily gaining momentum at radio stations across the United States, with a growing list of adds at influential Billboard reporting Dance stations like Miami’s 93.5 FM. The upbeat feel-good anthem is finding converts nationwide.

“Thank God It’s Friyay” comes with an impressive pedigree of collaborators. Famed remixer DJ Mark Picchiotti (Michael Jackson, Madonna, Sir Elton John, Daft Punk’s official “Get Lucky” remix) teamed up with Sync Tone on the club hit. Grammy winning vocalist Joel Kibble takes the lead as a Bootsy-worthy bass and some Nile Rodgers-style Funk guitar ride a timeless four-on-the-floor dance groove. Disco strings and horns complete that fabulous mirrorball vibe as Tone and team take the party to the dancefloor.

Although the success of the track is certainly exciting, it is just the tip of the iceberg. In addition to the Orchard/Sony distributed single and video, Sync Tone has released a “Thank God It’s Friyay” EP featuring four different mixes of the song. Now the enterprising producer is making history by offering the collection as a limited run NFT

NFTs (or “non-fungible tokens”) are crypto assets like Bitcoin or Ethereum. NFTs are used to authenticate ownership of unique digital assets like artworks, recordings, and virtual real estate. With the meteoric rise of the technology’s popularity, it was only a matter of time before NFT’s found their way to Top 40. Sync Tone is the first NFT avatar to hit any chart, with his recent placement on Reverb Nation’s top 10 chart. Beating Universal Music Groups “Kingship,” and Timbaland’s proposed Bore Ape Yacht Club band to chart an avatar.
