DPLUS is the professional name of singer, songwriter and producer Adedayo Ajayi. The multitalented artist from Lagos, Nigeria made his professional solo recording debut in 2018 with the track “Zero to Hero.” That song introduced a versatile keyboardist and singer with a taste for smooth R&B grooves and sophisticated musical arrangements. Since that first track, Ajayi has released a series of successful singles and live performance videos. He has reached fans worldwide with his soulful, genre-fluid and spiritual sound.
On his latest single and video “No Let Go,” DPLUS teams up with fellow Nigerian heavyweight pianist and producer Masterkraft. The laidback tune rides on the mellow funk of a Jazz-infused contemporary R&B groove. A full, live band ensemble lays down a cool groove that calls on elements of Afro-Pop, Reggae and Smooth Jazz for a sexy, feel-good mood. Piano and guitar each take their turn in the spotlight as the rhythm section drops some impressive, syncopated chops. At center stage is DPLUS himself as he delivers a soulful, joyful love song with a smooth R&B tenor.
