Drae Synes is an emerging independent Alternative Hip-hop artist with a genre-bending style and an old-school state of mind. Born and raised in Italy, he found his musical voice at a very young age. After an early interest in drums and guitar, he was introduced to Hip-hop via the 50 Cent classic “Get Rich or Die Tryin.” By the time he was just 6 years old, Drae was writing rhymes.
Now based in the United Kingdom, Drae Synes made his professional solo recording debut in 2019 with the EP “Underdog.” That record introduced a talented rapper with a lyrical style that harkens back to the Golden Age of 90’s Hip-hop. Since then the prolific rapper has delivered a steady string of singles. He is currently working on his sophomore EP ‘Introspect XXIV’ scheduled for release in April 2022.
“Amnesia” is the brand new single from Drae Synes, released worldwide to all major streaming services on February 11, 2022. The track opens on its infectious chorus. A hypnotic female vocal sample dances on the edges of the mix as Drae sings a catchy Pop/R&B hook over a classic Boombap beat. In the verse, a funky bass and piano groove rides that old-school beat as the rapper tells a tale of a troubled relationship that has seen better days.
