nasnoos – not another punk

  • by
nasnoos

nasnoos is a 16 year-old Alternative Rock singer/songwriter from Southern California making his professional solo recording debut in 2022. The Egyptian American teen first began writing music 3 years ago. He started out rapping but soon moved into the Pop/Punk realm.

Although he is still young, getting an early start is nothing new for the singer. He graduated from high school when he was just 14 years old. Inspired by artists like Iann Dior and Machine Gun Kelly, he makes Pop-infused guitar-driven Rock with a touch of Hip-hop.

“not another punk” is the debut EP from nasnoos, released worldwide to all major streaming services on February 9, 2022. The three song collection finds the singer struggling with the loss of love and the reality of life as an American teenager.

The uptempo thrash of “another” opens the EP. The track introduces nasnoos’ unique mix of Classic Pop/Punk with a modern Indie slacker vocal style and Emo lyrics. His laid back delivery is a nice juxtaposition against the music’s high-octane punch. In the bridge the song takes a detour into Hip-hop with a Trap beat while nasnoos shows off an impressive lyrical flow.

“tell me why” follows with an infectious Pop hook and a Punk backing track with a dose of Metal riffing thrown in for good measure. He questions the ending of a relationship in this catchy torch song. The record closer “110/65” is a thoughtful and introspective look at the singer’s unique circumstance, living somewhere between childhood and adulthood. He delivers his soliloquy with a lead foot on a late night drive.
