Z.Rho is an emerging singer/songwriter with an avant-garde, Dark Pop sound. Although she is originally from Germany, the singer spent her formative years in Michigan. Her musical life began at a very young age when she first fell in love with the piano.
Eventually the young musician began writing her own songs. She is now making her professional solo recording debut. Working with producer Lassa Lee, Z.hro has released her debut two-song EP.
“Somewhere” is the brand new double single from Z.rho, released worldwide to all major streaming services on February 18, 2022. The record introduces a talented young artist with an adventurous sound and a deeply personal songwriting style.
“Crazy” opens the set with a slightly psychedelic, Lo-fi R&B vibe. Z.rho sings a hypnotic love song as the track alternates between a Jazzy drum and electric piano jam and a retro synthwave groove. The title song follows, continuing the 80’s vibe with an ever changing progression of percussive synth arpeggios as the singer delivers a melancholy tale of loneliness and confusion.
