GodsNd is the professional name of Jean Floradin, an emerging independent singer, songwriter and dancer with a broad creative vision and a passion to make a difference in people’s lives. Originally from Haiti and now based in Miami, he creates R&B-infused Pop music with a purpose. The singer describes his music as, “Bryan McKnight meets Adele.”
A multifaceted artist, GodsNd pairs his powerfully emotional sound with thought-provoking interpretive dance videos. He made his professional solo recording debut in 2020 with the single “Drowning.” Since then he has produced a total of four releases. With each new release he reaches an ever expanding global audience. Tracks like last year’s “Y.O.U” and 2020’s “Stop the World” count their streaming numbers in the hundreds of thousands.
“Save Myself” is the latest single from GodsNd, released worldwide to all major streaming services on February 14, 2022. A percussive rhythm opens the track. The singer enters the mix with an urgent and soulful soliloquy. Accompanied by sparse piano chords and a hypnotic mix of interwoven and syncopated backing vocal harmonies, he tells the tale of a man who wants to save the world but realizes that he first must save himself.
The track mixes equal parts Neo-soul, contemporary Pop and Prog-Rock power. GodsNd’s lead vocal has a 90’s R&B vibe while the song’s mesmerizing backing vocals bring to mind rock legends Queen. Guitar power chords add to the song’s theatrical Rock Opera feel. As with all of his releases, “Save Myself” arrives with a companion video featuring a Broadway-worthy dance routine to match the song’s dramatic urgency.
