The Alessi Brothers are singing and songwriting twin sibling veterans of the music industry. The twin brothers debuted in 1967 with their band The Look on Verve Records. They went on to form the band Barnaby Bye and released two albums on Atlantic Records before embarking on their career as a duo.
Over the years the Alessi Brothers have enjoyed a string of international hit records. Songs like “Oh Lori,” “Put Away Your Love” and “Seabird” have reached the top of the charts around the world. The latter song recently enjoyed a second life in the public eye. Harry Styles included the track on his lockdown playlist and it was featured on the hit SyFy network series “Resident Alien.”
The brothers’ list of celebrity admirers and collaborators is extensive. They sang background vocals on the John Lennon and Yoko Ono album “Milk and Honey” and they have written songs for superstars like Peter Frampton, Frankie Valli and Olivia Newton John. Recently The xx sampled their tune “Do You Feel It” on their song “Say Something Loving”. The Long Island duo is still on the scene, releasing three albums in the past four years.
“I’m In Love” is the latest single from the Allessi Brothers’ latest album “Eden Roc,” released worldwide to all major streaming services on January 22, 2022. The track is a cover of an obscure Beatles song from 1963. The Lennon/McCartney tune is tailor made for the Alessi Brothers signature vocal style. An ensemble of guitar, bass, drums and keys accompanies the duo as their ethereal backing harmonies paint the edges of the mix around a soulful lead vocal on this beautifully executed sugary-sweet love song.
