Camel Van is an emerging independent Garage Rock band who made their professional recording debut in 2019 with the single “Chameleon.” That track introduced a Seattle, Washington based international ensemble of musicians with a sound born of both classic and modern Alternative Rock. The full length album “My Bedroom Party ” followed, further solidifying the band’s unique brand of DIY cool.
The quartet of Maisy Hall, Juan Pablo Gonzalez, Luis Bosquez and JC originally came together on a whim as an after-hours jam group. The band’s members hail from across the globe; Mexico, Colombia and the Southeastern United States. All members are multi-instrumentalists and share vocal duties.
“Lipstick” is the brand new single and video from Camel Van, released worldwide to all major streaming services on April 1, 2021. A jangly guitar introduces the track and the band enters the mix in short order. Lead vocalist Maisy Hall steps to the mic to tell the witty and biting tale of her philandering ex-boyfriend. Camel Van has a cool and effortless sound that harkens back to some of the best 80’s College Rock while still keeping one foot firmly placed in the present-day Indie aesthetic.
I don’t know what she puts in her lipstick, but my ex-boyfriend is kissing her in his stick shift.
