Leonard Damron’s life has been shaped by music. Growing up in Michigan, he began his creative journey at the age of 12 when he first took piano lessons. His early influences were the R&B and Hip-hop music he heard at home, and the Gospel he played and sang at church

By the time he was a teenager Leonard Damron was working as the sound engineer at Ark of Deliverance church in Detroit. That launched a music production career that continues to this day. Now based in Montgomery, Alabama he has produced Gospel, Jazz, R&B, Meditation and Poetry records and live performances.

Although he has worked with a number of other artists over the years, Leonard Damron did not begin writing his own music until relatively recently. While living through a very dark time in life he started writing positive affirmations. The affirmations evolved into beautiful inspirational poems. The poems themselves eventually transformed into inspirational songs of love and faith. The first songs took shape in 2010, however it would be another five years before he went public with his work.

In 2015 Leonard Damron debuted with the Gospel single “I Can’t Go Wrong,” a collaboration with vocalist “Alexis Kennedy.” That track introduced a spiritual and soulful songwriter with a slick, modern R&B production style. The song also launched an impressive string of successes. With hits like “I Grew Up in Detroit” and “Love Conquers All” he has connected with millions of fans across multiple platforms. In that time he has landed some high-profile gigs opening for the likes of mainstream Gospel recording artist Ernest Pugh and award-winning artist Jonathan Nelson.

Leonard Damron makes music to inspire life, love and faith. With a unique mix of Gospel, Soul, R&B, Hip Hop & Jazz he uses lyrical expressions to bring joy and a level of social consciousness to his fans. He works with the simple yet profound goal of bringing spiritual truth, happy thoughts, kindness and Love to the world.

Believe in you and the substance of the earth in its purest form belongs to you. The sky is not the limit. There is no limit when you believe in yourself!
