Inanna is a singer, songwriter, producer and belly dancer who employs the full spectrum of her creative abilities in her advocacy of our natural world. An animal rights and environmental activist, the singer has created a distinct and eclectic Eco-Alternative-Pop project, dedicated to the Earth and all its landscapes and life-forms.
Originally from Italy, Inanna is an international artist who has worked across Europe and the United States. After studying and working as a musician in Venice, she moved to Barcelona. In Spain the versatile creator fronted a number of bands and produced solo music as ‘Anna.lee’. There she also nurtured her passion for belly dance and Middle Eastern music, becoming an instructor of both belly dance and tribal fusion.
Now based in Los Angeles, in 2019 the singer premiered as Inanna with the single “Nefertiti XXI,” fusing her many passions into a single, focused creative vision. Since that debut, the prolific producer has released a dozen singles as well as last year’s full length album “Acrotopia.”
“The Battle ” is the brand new single and video from Inanna, released worldwide to all major streaming services on Earth Day, April 22, 2022. Minor-key ambient synths and electric guitars introduce the song’s ominous and dramatic wall of sound as the beat drops on the slow thump of a tribal rhythm. Syncopated percussion, ethereal choral vocals and experimental electronics weave themselves in and out of the mix as the singer delivers her earnest and intensely serious Dark Pop ode to environmental warriors around the globe. It is an emotional and powerful performance.
‘The Battle’ is dedicated to all the indigenous people and environmental activists who are standing up for nature and the future of the planet.Inanna
