Berrebe is the professional name of rapper, singer and songwriter Cristian B. Salinero. A native of Madrid, Spain, he grew up in a creative household. His mother, actress and dancer Julia Saly (la Pocha) was a pioneer of Spanish cinema in the 1970s and 80s. The 38 year-old Christian has enjoyed a successful career as a musician, producer and record label owner.
After years of performing in bands like Bloody Night, Iron Brothers and NPK, Berrebe is preparing his debut solo album, due for release in December 2022. With a distinct and street smart sound that keeps one foot in the old-school and one in the new, he creates a sound that is both accessible and raw.
“Angel y Demonio” is the brand new single from Berrebe, released worldwide via all major streaming services on April 22, 2022. The track opens on a dramatic and cinematic piano ballad. The rapper steps to the mic with a smooth flow, a hard style and a quiet delivery. It’s a great mix and a perfect match to the track’s slow Boombap beat and deep sawtooth EDM bass. Cristian raps in Spanish through the verse while guest vocalist Esther Denis delivers her soulful choruses in English.
