Crash Anyway is an original independent Rock & Roll band from Grand Island, Nebraska. Led by songwriter and vocalist Jennifer Hescock, the four piece ensemble features guitarist Mike Richardson, bassist Jon Downey and drummer/arranger Ray Nalley. Since 2019 the quartet has been sharing their unique flavor of Classic Rock infused Americana and Blues on multiple platforms.
“Pretty Little Lies” is the most recent single from Crash Anyway, available for streaming via the band’s Reverbnation page. The band recorded the track at Liquid Static Studios in Norfolk, Nebraska. Produced, engineered, mixed and mastered by Mike Richardson, the raw and live feel of the recording captures the band’s energy and stays true to their Les Paul fueled riff-rock origins.
The track opens with a rockin pentatonic riff from Mike Richardson that sounds like a long lost Led Zeppelin song circa 1969. Soon Nalley and Downey drop the beat with a heavy dose of Bonham-meets-AC/DC thunder. Hescock steps to the mic and delivers a soulful and bluesy takedown of a dishonest femme fatale. The band keeps it cranked to eleven until the final cymbal choke.
