NOiZ-E is the professional name of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist producer Antoine Airoldi. A native of Sherbrooke, Quebec, Canada, the musician is debuting his new project in 2022 with a self-titled 4-song EP. With a mix of Punk Rock energy and Hip-hop attitude, he creates a genre-bending and Punk-infused Alternative Rock vibe.
Over the years Airoldi has experimented with a number of different musical genres. In 2017 he released a three song Metalcore EP with the band Saints. More recently he tried his hand at Hip-hop. After producing a few songs he found the genre too restrictive. So, he plugged in his guitar and got down to rocking.
The debut eponymous NOiZ-E EP was released worldwide via all major streaming services on May 27, 2022. On the 4 song collection, Antoine digs into his own personal history of heartbreak, trauma and mental illness in order to connect with others dealing with similar issues. From the Grunge-fueled spoken word examination of disloyal people of “Understatement” to the mental health awareness anthem “Fed Up,” Airoldi tackles difficult issues with power chords.
He cites a wide range of artists as inspiration for his sound, including; Rise Against, Eyes Set to Kill, Machine Gun Kelly, Sueco, The Offspring, Simple Plan, Wage War, Sleeping Giant, Stick to Your Guns. Throughout the record NOiZ-E incorporates a number of different music styles into the mix. “Famous” is a real highpoint with an experimental Hyperpop edge. Antoine raps about being famous over a Glitch/Hip-hop beat. “Love at First Sight” is a takedown of the dating world, featuring guest vocalist Alexia Rodriguez. The track mixes elements of Punk, Metal and Rap.
I created music in the midst of the pandemic when I no longer agreed with the work system I was a part of and music was my only outlet to speak up.
