Brownsuede is a songwriting and recording duo from Los Angeles, California who made a big splash in 2020 with their eponymous debut EP. That record introduced music fans to Lud Creary (guitar) and Doc Martin (lead vocals), a pair of attorneys turned professional musicians. Their sound is a smooth mix of smart lyrics, soulful vocals and sexy R&B guitar vibes.
The group’s debut EP received heavy media coverage, appearing on notable blogs such as VoyageLA, Youknowigotsoul.com, Bong Mines Entertainment and more. Brownsuede’s single “The One” found strong support at radio with the latter receiving coveted adds at major radio stations Real 92.3 in Los Angeles and 106.1 KMEL in California’s Bay Area. That track and the song “Fade Away” both topped college radio R&B/Soul Charts across the United States.
“In My Dreams” is the brand new single from Brownsuede, released worldwide via all major streaming services on April 29, 2022. The track opens on a Jazz-infused guitar intro. Lud Creary delivers some chill ‘Wind Cries Mary’ vibes as the beat drops on a smooth bass and drum slow jam groove. Doc Martin steps to the mic with a romantic fantasy served up in a soulful falsetto with layers velvet harmonies. It’s a great sound that brings to mind some legendary 80’s post-disco Soul artists like Johnny Gill, George Benson or Levert.
