Marco Forcone is a songwriter and producer who made his professional solo recording debut in January of this year with the single “Circle of Pain.” That track introduced an electrical engineer and lifelong amateur musician who took advantage of the mandatory downtime of the pandemic to brush up on his guitar skills. His practices eventually turned into songwriting sessions. Before long he was teaching himself to record.
Since his debut, Marco Forcone has released three singles. The guitarist has an adventurous and experimental songwriting process. His multi-genre palette features various hues of Rock, Jazz and Blues. Each new track further expands the depth of his sound.
“Immoral Spider” is the second single from Marco Forcone, released worldwide to all major streaming services on April 1, 2021. The track opens with a mix of live drums and ambient synths. Heavy power chords introduce some big Prog Rock drama. Soon the song kicks into a rolling percussive groove as a robotic narrator tells a cryptic tale of some creepy characters. Musically the track moves through numerous phases of wonderful Acid Rock psychedelia. Marco explains that the track was an experiment in composition.
Exploring computer random computer lyrics when I stumbled into an “immoral spider”, “slimey demon”, and “patronizing ghost” “committing crimes”. I laughed. I had my lyrics, but no singer… I played with many voice and language options, including Italian, German, and Japanese. I opted for the English version of the song.

“Divergent” is the latest single from Marco Forcone, released worldwide to all major streaming services on May 30, 2022. A solo electric guitar opens the track playing a chromatic of arpeggios. Soon the band joins in and the song takes on a dark Bond-theme vibe. As the track progresses we move through different phases of the guitarist’s art rock vision in which complex Prog Rock arrangements meet cinematic guitar melodies.
