Adam Babson is a singer, songwriter and world traveler who is making his professional solo recording debut in 2022. Originally from Tacoma, Washington, Babson now calls Brooklyn, New York home. However, the globe hopping musician is just as likely to be found adventuring through the American Southwest or chilling on the beaches of Puerto Rico.
The beach is exactly where Adam Babson’s sound was born. With a decidedly hippie vibe and smooth acoustic Classic Rock stylings he delivers chill beach moods peppered with a bit of Jazzy virtuosity. His debut single transports us to scenes of sand covered toes and sunkissed skin.
“Outside Break” is the brand new single from Adam Babson, released worldwide to all major streaming services on May 23, 2022. A tremolo-soaked guitar opens the track and immediately sets a hypnagogic mood. Soon a classic 60’s Pop/Rock vibe floats in like a warm California breeze. Halfway through the track the groove transitions to a mellow, Latin-Jazz infused jam.
Throughout the song Babson’s chill Pop tenor trades verses with some smooth lead guitar. There is a particularly tasty solo at around the 4:15 mark. All of the performances on the track are exemplary, from the chilled funk of the drums to the beautifully fluid and melodic bass track.
