Then a series of unfortunate events prompted Chris to redirect his energies.
Although he has been writing songs since he was a teenager, Chris Sunfield kept music on the backburner as he worked in a more mainstream career. Then that life started to unravel. The career took an unfortunate turn and moved him away from his family and friends. Then an accident left him hospitalized. Facing his own mortality and questioning his choices, he turned to his music.
“Eclipse” is the current single from Chris Sunfield’s latest EP “Far Away Objects.” The song’s brand new video dropped worldwide via YouTube on June 3, 2022. A heartbreaking acoustic ballad, the epic seven minute track builds slowly from a quiet Indie-Folk arrangement to a lush cinematic piece featuring shades of Classic and Alternative Rock. With a soft vibrato he laments the collapse of a romance.
Eclipse is a relationship heartbreak song where the only solace for the protagonist is knowing that everything eventually ends in a collapsing universe.
