Sky is the professional name of emerging independent rapper, songwriter and producer Brandon Graham. Although he is now based in Mobile Alabama, Graham was born and raised in Georgia. He got his start rapping at just 9 years-old. By the time he was 15, the talented young emcee already had a song on the radio. At 17 he had a record contract.
Unfortunately some legal trouble forced Sky to put music on the backburner for a short time. His time away forced him to reassess his career and his faith. He came back ready to hit the ground running with a newly energized commitment to both.
Graham recommitted to his church, attending services faithfully. His faith found a new focus in his music as well. He cleaned up his lyrics and put his spotlight on God. Religion has always played a part in Sky’s music. However, on records like his latest album “Street Gospel,” it is a central theme.

Minor-key ambient synths and strings open the track, setting a dramatic and cinematic mood. The beat drops on a classic 808 bass Trap groove as Brandon steps to the mic. He testifies about his commitment to music and God in a cool lyrical flow. He also drops some impressive chopping in the bridge.
