Draaco Aventura is a singer, songwriter and composer who made his professional solo recording debut in 2015 with the song “GoGo Twerk.” That track introduced a multi talented artist with an eclectic style. He is a U.S. Army combat veteran, former Intelligence Specialist and a trained Mixed Martial Artist who specializes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muy Thai KickBoxing. The multifaceted Draaco uses his public platform to share both his worldview and his music.
In addition to his music and many other interests, Draaco is also an accomplished actor. He has appeared in feature films, done voice over work, was cast on the BET TV series “Criminals at Work ” and the award-winning Netflix show “House of Cards.” Since his debut the prolific artist has released a dozen singles and now a full length album. His music is as nuanced and eclectic as his personal life.
“Tranforma” is the brand new debut album from Draaco Aventura, released world wide to all major streaming services on June 6, 2022. The ten-track collection is a smooth mix of pop, hip-hop and r&b music from across the decades. From the 80’s pop/r&b vibes of the opening track “Pressure” to the experimental electronic beat and neo-soul moods of the closer “Attitude,” Draaco Aventura mixes retro synths with modern beats. Sometimes referred to as ‘The WeekDay’, the singer points to The Weeknd as a major influence. However unlike the Canadian superstar, Draaco can rap too.
Lyrically, the songs on Transforma are inspired by Draaco’s fiance Maya Noori. From the uplifting and beautiful pop ballad engagement song “All My Life,” to devoted love songs like chill slow jam “I Want You” and the synthwave funk of heartbreaker “Never Lost Me,” the singer calls on his muse for inspiration.
A number of songs on the record lean into an 80’s feel. Tracks like “Touch” and “Never Lost Me” pair cinematic synthwave moods with modern pop and funk grooves. He matches those classic sounds with a crystal clean production and modern trap, hip-hop, EDM and r&b rhythms. Draaco Aventura’s soulful tenor and smooth falsetto are a perfect fit for his retro-future vibe.
