SM6 is an emerging independent alt-pop/rock group with a hard-hitting electro-pop vibe. The six-piece Los Angeles based troupe made their debut in 2020 with the track Oddity. Now counting its streams in the millions, that song introduced a creative collective of young artists with a genre-bending sound and introspective, thought-provoking lyrics.
Since their debut the prolific group has produced eight follow-up singles as well as the 5-song EP “Perfect.” Their unique sound matches rock & roll power chords with big 80’s synths and relatable lyrical narratives about the many struggles common to young people in our complicated modern age. It’s a great mix of retro cool and modern angst.
“Panic” is the brand new single and video from SM6, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 1, 2022. As the track opens, lead vocalist Isabel Jones steps to the mic with a dark and apologetic soliloquy delivered in the midst of a panic attack, as a synth bass and feedback guitars simmer in the background. In the chorus she and the music explode into a My Chemical Romance-style scream for help.
