Miss Liberty’s Powerful Anthem For Freedom

Miss Liberty is the new musical project from the team at songsforfreedom.com. They are a Canadian/Swedish songwriting duo on a mission to protect civil rights and freedom of speech. And while doing so they are shining a light on the men and women who fought for freedom.

The first song of freedom from Miss Liberty is the debut self-titled single, “Miss Liberty.” The song is a powerful country/folk ballad that serves as both a celebration of democracy as well as a warning about those who seek to disrupt it. The songwriters are not affiliated with any particular political philosophy, left or right. They are politically independent and do not claim fraternity with any political cause other than freedom.

“Miss Liberty” is the debut single from Miss Liberty, released worldwide to all major streaming services on December 19, 2021. The song opens on a solo strumming acoustic guitar. A male vocalist enters the mix with a smooth, radio-ready country tenor.

An ensemble of bass, drums and keys join in as he delivers his emotional patriotic anthem. A rolling 6/8 rhythm gives the song a slightly celtic feel. Through the verse the singer chronicles the many threats he sees to freedom before being joined by a full choir for the anthemic “freedom’s not free” chorus. In our minds we can hear a stadium full of people singing along.

Check out the lyric video below. You can also hear the song on the Deep Indie Songwriters playlist, or listen on your favorite streaming service. Follow the links below to connect with the project. Get on their socials and get in the loop on all of the songs of freedom to come.
