Lah88 Drops Indie Emo Trap ‘Stuck’

Lah88 is an emerging alternative hip-hop artist who made his professional solo recording debut in 2020 with the single “You Weren’t My Soulmate.” That track introduced a multifaceted artist from Maryland who mixes elements of trap, rock, pop and experimental electronic music for a unique emo rap vibe.

Since his debut the prolific producer has delivered seven singles, an EP and 2021’s full length 15-track album, LahLahLand. He has connected with tens of thousands of hip-hop fans around the world on tracks like “Schizo” and “Love Choppa.” He has a genre-bending sound influenced by similar eclectic artists like A$AP, Rocky Lil Wayne and XXXTentacion.

“Stuck” is the brand new single from Lah88, released worldwide to all major streaming services on June 17, 2022. A mellow indie-rock guitar opens the track. Soon the beat drops on a downtempo trap groove. Deep bass tones hold down the floor as Lah88 steps to the mic with a sing-song, melodic rap. He laments the end of a relationship with a series of clever rhymes in the verse and the catchy lo-fi “I’m stuck on my own” in the chorus.

…there’s more people out there and eventually I won’t be alone but right now I feel like. Lonely I guess.
