Lyobia is an emerging singer and songwriter making her professional solo recording debut in 2022. Although this is her first foray into the international scene, the singer has been working in music for a number of years. Her new pop experiment comes after years of study in multiple genres.
Originally from Hungary, the multifaceted artist previously worked as a jazz singer. She graduated with a degree in music from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz. Lyobia is now based in Austria where she is developing her new musical vision.
“Neon Pink” is the debut single from Lyobia, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 17, 2022. A pulsing synth bass and retro drum machine introduce the track. Swirling 8-bit arpeggios enter the mix and the beat drops on an early 80’s electro-pop vibe. From there we ride with Lyobia on a romantic joyride escape fantasy.
Working with producer Marton Szegedi, Lyobia created a fully authentic synthpop experience. In the studio the duo used all authentic, vintage gear. That aesthetic carried over to the song’s video production as well. All of the technology used is original and authentic.
We used analog and digital synths according to the synthpop era. The videoclip doesn’t contain any digital manipulation, the lights are all analog.
