This Day Forever is an independent alternative rock band from Columbus, Ohio. Originally led by the sibling duo of Ken and Will Newsome, the band toured the US throughout the mid to late 2000’s. By 2010 the brothers needed a break and the band went on an indefinite hiatus. The group recently found a new life, born out of tragedy.
Ken passed away in 2019. Devastated by the loss of his brother, Will turned back to music for solace. Months of introspection, soul searching and songwriting produced an unforeseen result, the rebirth of the band he and his brother had started years earlier. Newsome hit the studio and emerged with the first new This Day Forever music in a decade. To date the group has released 11 singles since reforming.
“Star Chaser” is a recent single from This Day Forever, available worldwide via all major streaming services. After a cinematic intro, the beat drops on a sprawling alternative rock anthem recalling the great 80’s Welsh rockers, The Alarm. In the chorus the band lands on a melodic prog rock vibe a-la Coheed and Cambria, with a healthy dose of Rush for good measure.
