A/D-Rocky

A/D-Rocky is the professional name of emerging hip-hop artist, Chance Davis. The Mississippi native made his professional solo recording debut earlier this year with the release of his EP Walker, Ep 1. That record introduced a talented 18 year-old rapper with an old-school lyrical style and a taste for classic beats.

Over the past 2 months the prolific emcee has dropped a dozen tracks to his Soundcloud page. The 18 year-old started writing rhymes three years ago when he was living in foster care. That experience is a theme that runs through his music. The rapper hopes to bring awareness to the struggle of children living without a permanent home or family.

“It’ll All B Over” is the current single from A/D-Rocky’s debut EP. A classic soul sample opens the track and immediately sets an old-school 90’s vibe. Soon the groove drops on a mellow hip-hop breakbeat and chill electric piano r&b vibe. A/D-Rocky steps to the mic with a fluid lyrical freestyle about a love affair that has gone sour.
