For more than a year now, The Static Dive readers have enjoyed the work of the Dyno Project. The brainchild of Massachusetts musician Bob (Dyno) DiNozzi, the project is an expanding collection of his original songs, performed and interpreted by his talented friend in the Boston music scene. The songs are the product of a music career that has spanned decades and dotted the globe.
Dyno got his start as a Northeast rocker in the 60’s. A decade later he was playing bass in jazz bands in Brazil. The subsequent decades were packed with live and recording gigs in doo wop (the G-Clefs), country rock (Allen Estes Band), British blues (British Yankees) and countless classic rock bands.
Throughout his travels, DiNozzi wrote songs. Now Bob is focusing his attention on the recording studio to capture this rich musical legacy. Since dropping the debut single “Dyno’s Gumbo” in April of last year, the prolific project has produced ten singles. Bob’s latest tune dates back to his days in Rio.
“Listen (to Your Dreams)” is the brand new single from Dyno Project, released worldwide via all major streaming services on June 30, 2022. The track is a cool mix of 70’s folk/pop and classic bossa nova. Trent Larrabee (guitar), Larry Finn (drums & percussion) and Bob DiNozzi (guitar & bass) accompany him with a beautiful bit of acoustic Latin jazz for a smooth and timeless pop vibe.
