GhostE’s Deep & Ethereal Electro-Pop Vibe

GhostE is the professional name of singer, songwriter and musician Jenny Bruce. The New York City based creator is a veteran performer and recording artist who has released six albums of original material over the last fifteen years. However, her life as an artist began a decade earlier and spans an ocean.

In the late 80’s an underage Bruce was club-hopping with celebrities in the hippest NYC clubs. She rubbed shoulders with Madonna, orbited the Warhol universe for a while, met Truman Capote and even kissed John Cusak. Eventually, young Jenny found her way to Paris where she worked as a singing waitress and busked in the metro before returning to the Big Apple.

Performing first by her given name and in recent years as GhostE, Bruce has won numerous songwriting awards and earned placement in multiple film and TV productions. Her most recent full length album is a ten-song self titled collection. With the record the singer introduces a new, ethereal electro-pop vibe.

From the dreamy syncopated indie-pop groove of “Slow Motion” to the dark pop introspection of “Hold On,” GhostE examines the murky waters and complex nuanced emotions of the human psyche. Musically the record explores the many corners of downtempo alternative electronic music. Ambient synths float about intricate musical tapestries as they ride trip-hop grooves and dark pop moods.

…aging doesn’t make you invisible. Trying to be something you are not, does.
