Rebel is an emerging independent singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist who made his professional solo recording debut in 2018 with the single “Drowning.” That track introduced an eclectic and experimental producer. He followed that dark ambient instrumental with only occasional releases over the next three years. With each new song he would dip into different genres from hip-hop to lo-fi indie rock.
In 2021 Rebel dropped the r&b/hip-hop EP “Depth.” That record launched a flurry of new material that continues today. In that time the prolific and adventurous producer has released music ranging from emo trap to bossa nova and lo-fi indie rock. Inspired by similarly artists like Post Malone and Mac Miller, he has blurred the lines between multiple genres across seventeen singles, two EPs and a full length album.
“One More Night” is the latest single from Rebel, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 1, 2022. The song opens with Rebel alone with his guitar. Ambient analog synths float into the mix to give the song a dreamy vibe. Lyrically the singer delivers a complex emotional tale of heartbreak, addiction and healing.

Where are you from?
I am from Missouri and Abu Dhabi
How long have you been making music?
Officially about 4 years my first single came out in 2018 but really started to put out music consistently in 2021
Who are the musicians involved in your project?
Got a great singer named Pauline Mykel who did a few nice choruses and sang an entire verse on my interlude, otherwise production and everything else was all me.
Who are your biggest musical influences?
Definitely my biggest influence is Mac Miller, otherwise would be Russ, A$AP Rocky, Schoolboy Q, and Post Malone.
What is your greatest non-musical influence?
It switches a lot but right now I would say my friend josh he has helped me through some very dark times and seems to have a very secure mindset and outlook on life.
What inspired you to create this project?
I was looking at my past albums and I just wanted something more cohesive and personal, i feel like i really did a good job at all the sequencing of the songs, for this single specifically one more night, it was about a cursed love and my battle with addiction, in the song i’m kind of talking about myself from an outside in view and really tackling the pain of having one more night, wanting someone to stay for one more night, feeding into my addictions for one more night etc.
What are your plans for the future (musically)?
Well I plan to put out my next album and hopefully continue to grow as an artist and push my own boundaries, and hopefully enough people listen to start touring. I really really want to tour.
Is there anything else you would like to say?
Thank you to anybody who has supported me this far its amazing how kind all of you are, stay tuned and keep trying, nothing lasts forever that includes pain.
