Natalia is an emerging independent singer/songwriter who made her professional solo recording debut in 2020. The UK artist is a native of Nuneaton, Warwickshire. A lifelong lover of music and an avid writer, she first began writing poetry at a very young age.
However, it wasn’t until adulthood that Natalia would set her words to music. Her career as a teacher brought her to the city of Hull in East Yorkshire, England. There she met producer and musician Lee Dickinson. The two bonded over a mutual appreciation for Alternative rock acts like artists like Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Blink 182, Green Day and Garbage. It wasn’t long before the two got down to making some music.
Launching her project at the height of the pandemic created some significant challenges. COVID restrictions made live gigs impossible. So, she and Dickinson headed to the studio. Since then , the prolific songwriter has released a remarkable volume of work, including four EPs and two full length albums.
“Nation On Fire” is the debut release from Natalia. Available worldwide via all major streaming services, the track pairs angsty punk rock energy with scathing social commentary. A mix of acoustic and electric guitars ride a driving alt-rock beat as Natalia steps to the mic with a razor sharp pen and a healthy dose of Joan Jett energy.
Although originally intended as a commentary on the state of the UK in 2020, the track has found new life in light of that country’s recent spate of scandals which last week resulted in the resignation of Prime Minister Boris Johnson. “Nation on Fire” recently reached #1 on a local Hull radio station and has been streamed all across the world on various stations and podcasts.
