ILLmatic Ismelle is a fast emerging hip-hop producer who made his professional solo recording debut in 2021 with the single “Eternal.” That track introduced a skilled beatmaker and rapper from Long Island, New York with a laid-back lo-fi groove. Also known as ‘doubleii’, the prolific producer has amassed an impressive volume of work.
Since dropping that debut, ILLmatic Ismelle has released eight beat tapes and a handful of singles. He creates chill, organic beats with a warm analog feel. Primarily working as a producer for other artists, most of doubleii’s work is instrumental. However, he does take his turn at the mic on occasion.
