Pretti Emage (pronounced ‘pretty image‘) is the professional name of emerging independent hip-hop artist, Zayah ‘Baby Girl’ Riley. Although she is just 20 years-old, the Tampa-based singer/rapper made her professional recording debut over five years ago. Back then, Pretti Emage was a duo featuring Zayah’s sister Jaleesah. In 2022, Baby Girl is going solo.
Since debuting, the prolific Pretti Emage has released two full albums and a dozen singles. They have connected with hip-hop fans around the world with tracks like “Walk Thru” and the popular single, “Me vs You.”
“First Place” is the brand new single from Pretti Emage, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 15, 2022. The song is the first featuring Baby Girl on her own, and it is her first release of 2022. The anthemic track rides a slow and low trap groove as deep 808 bass hits rumble the floor. Ambient synths and vocal samples paint the periphery to create an ominous vibe. Zayah steps to the mic with a hard rap about her commitment to the grind.
