Orlando Rocco Music is a Richmond, California collaborative music project, founded and fronted by multi-instrumentalist producer Orlando. He formed the group and named it in honor of his late older brother, Rocco. Music was always the family business and the two brothers followed suit. Older brother Rocco was a rising producer at the time of his tragic and untimely death.
For his part, Orlando first sat behind a piano keyboard at the age of 9, and never turned back. In adulthood he pursues the dream in Rocco’s memory. Since the project’s 2017 inception, Orlando Rocco Music has enjoyed a string of impressive wins, from early regional successes like “Signs” to their international crossover hit “Summertime.”
“Compare” is the brand new single from Orlando Rocco Music, released worldwide via all major streaming services on Friday July 22, 2022. The song opens on a trippy mix of backward tracks and disembodied vocals. Orlando creates a simple yet perfectly psychedelic scene.
Pat Raimondo lays down some smooth jazz guitar as a classic funk synth enters the fold and the beat drops on a cool 90’s-style r&b groove with a Latin twist. Singer/songwriter Jay Watts adds some modern hip-hop style and plenty of early (solo) Michael Jackson soul.
