Xanadu is a brand new independent girl group making their debut in 2022. The international ensemble was assembled via online auditions over the last two years. The group moved through a number of personnel changes before landing on their current quintet configuration. Led by Springfield, Massachusetts hip-hop artist and producer JYOUNGSHi, they recently dropped their debut single.
Fellow founding members ADRiANE and MiNT round out the group along with new additions Xia (rapper/singer) and SEMMi (main vocalist). Each of the band members works remotely, recording her part in a local studio and sending tracks across the ether. JYOUNGSHi completes the tracks with collaborating producers.
“Lover’s At Midnight” is the debut single from Xanadu, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 14, 2022. A cool retro groove beats at the heart of this dreamy midtempo synthwave vibe. Ambient synths expand the horizon as percussive arpeggios ride a classic 80’s drum machine rhythm. Each of the five members of Xanadu takes her turn at the mic with a cryptic tale of love and mystery.
