“It Wasn’t Easy For Me” is the new single from Eevone, released worldwide via all major streaming services on July 28, 2022. The song is a heartbreaking relationship post mortem wrapped in an infectiously catchy indie-pop dream. Eveone soulfully delivers an open letter to her ex in a beautiful sing-song melody. The band plays a mellow funk behind her with ethereal guitars and vocal harmonies painting the edges of the mix.

Where are you from?

Born and raised in Penang, Malaysia

How long have you been making music?

I started making music in 2020, I had to express my feelings and the only way was through music. That’s when it started.

Who are the musicians involved in your project?

Honestly I’m a pretty lonely musician. I was not surrounded by creative people. That’s why I got myself out of there and started traveling. I was looking for a place where I can find people that I can talk about music with.

Who are your biggest musical influences?

keshi and conan gray.. keshi got me started writing music. Conan gray got me started putting real emotions out on music.

What is your greatest non-musical influence?

Oh, that’s a hard question. Everything surrounding me is about music. maybe… Marvel? I love Marvel.

What inspired you to create this project?

I wrote this song when I was broken, confused, frustrated and lonely in a foreign country alone, not knowing what to do next. Feeling so lost and exhausted. Like i said, i make music to express my feelings as i don’t know other ways to express them.

What are your plans for the future (musically)?

I plan to release as many singles as I possibly can for the next few months. In 2023 I plan to go on a mini tour or perform at summer festivals!

Is there anything else you would like to say?

Music has been a big part of my life and in any way I try to avoid it, life eventually leads me back to music. I’m happy that I’m currently working my way to be fully committed to it and I know I have so much to offer to the world through music. Please follow all my socials and websites. I can’t wait to share.
